Ficus elastica 'Belize'

Care

Light
Place your Ficus Elastica 'Belize' in a bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight. Good light is particularly important for maintaining the plant's attractive variegated colouring. It can tolerate some gentle direct morning or evening sunlight, but avoid strong midday sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves.

Water
Water when the top layer of soil feels slightly dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away freely. The Ficus Elastica 'Belize' prefers the soil to dry slightly between waterings and is more tolerant of occasional dryness than consistently wet soil. Reduce watering during the cooler, darker months.

Temperature
The Ficus Elastica 'Belize' prefers warm and stable indoor conditions. Keep it away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes, and avoid temperatures below approximately 15°C. Good airflow is beneficial, but avoid placing the plant directly next to radiators or air-conditioning units, as dry air can cause the leaf edges to become brown.
