The Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' is a charming succulent, admired for its fleshy leaves, compact growth and soft, velvety appearance. Its attractive foliage and distinctive colouring give the plant a unique character, making it a beautiful addition to windowsills, desks and succulent collections. With its sculptural shape and relatively easy care requirements, this Echeveria is an excellent choice for plant lovers looking to add an elegant touch of greenery to their home.
Botanically known as Echeveria pulvinata, this succulent belongs to the Crassulaceae family and originates from Mexico. It is characterised by fleshy leaves covered in fine hairs, which give the foliage a soft texture and help distinguish it from many other Echeveria varieties. Depending on light levels and growing conditions, the leaves may develop attractive reddish or pinkish edges. Under suitable conditions, the plant can also produce slender flower stalks bearing small, bell-shaped flowers. The 'Devotion' cultivar is valued for its ornamental foliage and compact appearance, thriving in bright light and well-draining soil.

Care
Light
Place your Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' in a bright location with plenty of natural light. Several hours of gentle direct sunlight can encourage compact growth and enhance the colour of its leaves. Acclimatise the plant gradually to stronger sunlight to prevent scorching.
Water
Water thoroughly when the soil has dried out completely, then allow excess water to drain freely. Avoid overwatering or leaving the roots in standing water, as succulents are particularly susceptible to root rot. Reduce watering during cooler months when growth slows.
Temperature
The Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' prefers warm conditions, ideally between 18 and 27°C during active growth. Protect it from frost and prolonged cold, as it is not reliably winter-hardy in colder climates. A well-draining cactus or succulent mix and good air circulation help maintain healthy roots and foliage. Feed occasionally with a suitable succulent fertiliser during the growing season, following the manufacturer's instructions.
With plenty of light, careful watering and excellent drainage, the Echeveria pulvinata 'Devotion' can remain a beautiful and low-maintenance addition to your succulent collection.
