Sansevieria, commonly known as Snake Plant or Mother-in-Law's Tongue, originates primarily from tropical and subtropical regions of Africa. Light

Place your Sansevieria 'Skyline' in a location with bright, indirect sunlight for optimal growth. It can also tolerate lower-light conditions, making it a versatile choice for different rooms in your home. Some gentle direct sunlight is usually acceptable, provided the plant is gradually acclimatised. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense midday sun, which can damage the leaves.

Water

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Sansevieria 'Skyline' stores moisture in its thick leaves and is particularly sensitive to overwatering. Water thoroughly once the growing medium is dry, and allow excess water to drain away freely. During autumn and winter, reduce watering as the plant's growth slows. A well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix and a pot with drainage holes will help prevent root rot.

Temperature

Sansevieria 'Skyline' thrives in warm indoor conditions, ideally between 18 and 27°C. Protect it from frost, cold draughts and prolonged exposure to temperatures below approximately 10°C. Average indoor humidity is generally sufficient, so additional humidity is unnecessary. The plant rarely requires frequent fertilisation; a diluted, balanced houseplant fertiliser can be applied occasionally during spring and summer. Avoid overfeeding and excessive watering to keep the leaves firm, upright and healthy.
