Alocasia Yucatan Princess

The Alocasia Yucatan Princess is a tropical houseplant known for its large, glossy dark green leaves and distinctive deep red to burgundy stems. Its beautifully textured, slightly crinkled foliage and reddish-purple leaf undersides give this Alocasia a dramatic and elegant appearance.

Care

Light: Prefers bright, indirect or filtered light. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. A bright spot helps maintain its deep green colour and healthy growth.

Water: Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, while allowing the top few centimetres to dry slightly between waterings. Always use a well-draining soil mix and avoid letting the plant sit in excess water, as this can lead to root or stem rot.

Temperature: Keep your Alocasia Yucatan Princess warm and away from cold drafts. Temperatures of around 18–27°C (64–81°F) are ideal, with a minimum of approximately 15°C (59°F). Higher humidity will also encourage healthy, lush growth.
