Calathea orbifolia is native to the tropical regions of Bolivia, where it naturally grows on the forest floor beneath the canopy. Care

Light
Place your Calathea orbifolia in a bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight. Avoid strong direct sunlight, as this can scorch its delicate leaves and cause the beautiful markings to fade. A position with filtered or soft light is ideal for maintaining healthy, vibrant foliage.

Water
Keep the soil consistently lightly moist, but avoid allowing the plant to stand in water. Water when the top layer of soil feels slightly dry and allow excess water to drain away freely. Calathea orbifolia is sensitive to both prolonged dryness and overwatering, so a consistent watering routine is important. If possible, use rainwater or filtered water, as the plant can be sensitive to minerals in tap water.

Temperature
Calathea orbifolia prefers warm and stable indoor conditions and does best in a humid environment. Keep the plant away from cold draughts, sudden temperature changes, radiators and air-conditioning units. Temperatures above approximately 18°C are ideal. Higher humidity helps prevent brown leaf edges and keeps the large leaves looking fresh and healthy.
